My Therapeutic Approach
Who am I?
Hello, I’m Sian. I offer therapy in person in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, or online.
I hold a Psychology BSc from the University of Birmingham and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from CPTA. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their ethical framework, upholding confidentiality, professionalism and respect for client autonomy in every aspect of my work.
I’ve always been deeply curious about people and how we navigate life’s challenges. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path, as I wanted to help others in a meaningful way. I believe everyone deserves a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment and I’m passionate about helping people find peace within themselves. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing someone overcome obstacles and develop a stronger sense of self.
I work integratively, drawing on both Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches.
Person-Centred therapy offers a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever’s going on for you.
Psychodynamic therapy helps uncover patterns and behaviours shaped by past experiences, bringing insight and understanding.
Together, these approaches can support meaningful change, but what matters most is what you need.
Some days, you might just want to offload. Other times, you might feel ready to explore things more deeply. Either way, I’ll meet you where you are and offer a safe, supportive space to guide the work in a way which feels right for you.
